Box Furnace, Side Open
A side-opening box furnace for tempering, stress-relief annealing and aluminium-alloy ageing, with a roof-mounted air-circulation system that keeps the chamber uniform.
Side-Open Box Furnace
The RX3-45-6 is a side-opening box furnace built for the tempering side of a heat-treatment shop: tempering, stress-relief annealing and aluminium-alloy ageing. It is the lowest-temperature furnace in our range and the one most customers start with.
A roof-mounted circulation fan moves hot air through the chamber, so the soak is uniform across the whole load rather than only around the heating elements. The hand-operated side door swings clear of the working face, which keeps loading with a crane, hoist or forklift straightforward.
As with every furnace we build, chamber size, rated power and supply voltage can be changed to suit your process — the RX3-45-6 is the reference configuration, not a fixed box.

What you are buying
Uniform soak from air circulation
A roof-mounted fan keeps the working volume within a tight band, which is what tempering, ageing and stress relief actually depend on.
Side door that clears the working face
The door opens fully aside, so baskets, fixtures and long parts can be loaded with a crane or forklift without working around the door.
Ceramic-fibre lining
Low thermal mass heats quickly and keeps the outer shell cool enough to work next to in a busy shop.
PID control with over-temperature protection
Digital temperature control, over-temperature cut-out and a full wiring diagram supplied with the machine.
